| Amelia up with the best
At just eight years old, Amelia James has been singing for just under a year but she has already proved she is up there with the best after making it through to the finals of the Northlands Mall talent quest. The Tinwald School pupil was also invited to perform as a guest artist at the Richmond Kiwi Club the following day. Amelia began singing after taking guitar lessons through Tinwald School. Her guitar tutors encouraged her parents to take her to singing lessons after they heard her sing during guitar lessons. In week one of the talent quest she and fellow Ashburtonian Kim Willis both made it into the semifinals of the junior competition and the following week Amelia made the top eight finalists. For the competition Amelia performed The River a song she has been learning for about six months under the tutelage of Fiona Glassey.
Nashville: IRL IndyCar Post-Race Press Conference - Patrick ...
THE MODERATOR: Danica Patrick is our story of the day as its her best finish of the season. It also ties her career best finish at fourth place. She finished fourth place at Motegi, Japan and Indianapolis last year. Danica, tell us about your evening. DANICA PATRICK: It was a good night. It was a night of catching a break or two and keeping up with the race car. It was kind of an ever-changing track. I remember last year the track picked up grip the whole time. It did the same thing tonight. We were being called to pit, pit, pit for fuel. The yellow came out. I caught that break, which was nice, because it seems like I've been caught out on that all season so far. Gosh, at Indy I thought it happened -- every time I went out on a sticker set of tires, the yellow came out, even in practice.
